High School Juniors Graduate from Junior Leadership Pickens County

On May 16, twenty-seven local high school juniors, representing all four high schools in Pickens County, graduated from Junior Leadership Pickens County (JLPC) Class VII.   Presented by the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce, JLPC is sponsored by Prisma Health-Baptist Easley Hospital and the YMCA of Easley, Pickens & Powdersville.

JLPC assists in the development of future leaders by providing programs to acquaint students with community successes and challenges; encouraging acceptance of civic responsibility and leadership roles; fostering development of leadership and communication skills; and increasing volunteerism and community involvement.  The program consists of five full-day sessions of leadership skills training and community awareness modules.  In addition, students gain first-hand experience in team dynamics by participating in groups that develop a community service project, enhance public relations, and plan a special event.

Along with Prisma Health and the YMCA, other JLPC program supporters included City of Clemson, City of Easley, Pickens County Career & Technology Center, Pickens County Legislative Delegation, School District of Pickens County, Sealevel Systems, and Tri-County Technical College.

Graduates of JLPC Class VII include: Raleigh Adams (Easley), Alexis Bader (Easley), Erica Balas (DW Daniel), Max Cannon (DW Daniel), Grant Cothran (Pickens), Alex Dow (Pickens), Kaylee Gillespie (Pickens), Baylee Holder (DW Daniel), Mille Keasler (Pickens), Maleah Kelley (Pickens), Elizabeth LaFlamme ( Pickens), Andrew Latiff ( DW Daniel), Kelsey LeCroy (DW Daniel), Meghan McKenzie (Pickens), Summerlin McManus (Pickens), Dalton Moorrees (Pickens), Savannah Perry (Pickens), Claire Pigeon (DW Daniel), Sarah Pittman (Pickens), Aki Saito (DW Daniel), Kelsey Stillwagon (Pickens), Lauren Sudduth (DW Daniel), Regan Turner (Pickens), Bailey Watkins (Liberty), Isis Watson (DE Daniel), Chloe Wilson (Pickens), and Olivia Wilson (Pickens).
